In just a few short days, it will be November–time for another year of NaNoWriMo (National Novel Writing Month)!
NaNoWriMo is a nonprofit organization. Anyone can create a free account at www.nanowrimo.org and challenge themselves to write a 50,000 word manuscript during the month of November!
It’s a fun way to keep yourself motivated toward the completion of a manuscript, even if you don’t do something with it right away. For example, I shelved my 2012 NaNoWriMo “entry”, but it was recently accepted for publication and will be coming out early next year.
This year, I am working on an a young adult novel. I’d love to have some “writing buddies”–if you’re interested, let me know! We can coordinate some local “write in” events.
